The Aston Martin Valkyrie is a breathtaking masterpiece that not only dominates the track but also holds its own on regular roads. Powered by a V12 engine and without any forced induction, this car is a true marvel.
Introducing the Aston Martin Valkyrie – the ultimate hypercar from the luxury brand. This vehicle is not only aesthetically stunning, but it’s also street legal and incredibly fast. Supercar Blondie’s Alex Hirschi recently had the pleasure of test driving it. The Valkyrie boasts a naturally-aspirated 6.5-liter V12 engine developed in partnership with Cosworth, located behind the seats. With 1,000 horsepower, Aston Martin decided to add an extra boost with a 155-hp electric motor, resulting in a total power output of 1,155 horsepower. This beast can go from 0-60mph in just 2.6 seconds and has a top speed of 220mph/354km/h. Aston Martin has truly outdone itself with the Valkyrie.
Aston Martin made extra efforts to ensure their car is lightweight and aerodynamically efficient. They even used a metal badge that is only 40 microns thin, which is about as thick as a human hair. Although it would have been more convenient to paint the badge on the hood, Aston’s head of design Miles Nurnberger said they were determined to keep the real metal badge. They decided to innovate instead. Miles also expressed his pride in the rear brake lights, which are the smallest in the world at just 6mm across.

To reduce the weight of the car, some parts such as the headlamps were produced using 3D printing. The side cameras, which serve as replacements for the traditional wing mirrors, were also created using this technology. The doors are thin and extremely lightweight, opening in an upward motion similar to gull-wing doors. According to Alex, the doors resemble flickers of flames from a burning candle.
Located in the front, the frunk of this vehicle isn’t very spacious and can only accommodate small items such as a banana or a loaf of bread. Alternatively, you can utilize it for Aston Martin’s tool kit that comes along with the car. Additionally, there’s a concealed first-aid kit located behind the number plate, adding to the cool factor of this ride.
Alex got the opportunity to test drive the AMR Pro after driving the Aston Valkyrie. The AMR Pro is a track-exclusive version of the Valkyrie and is a completely unique model. Although the Valkyrie isn’t ideal for family use, the AMR Pro takes it even further with its extreme features.

To be honest, the only component that remains unchanged in the AMR Pro is the engine. Every other aspect of the car has been revamped and optimized for racing purposes. The vehicle now sports smaller wheels that can run on specialized Michelin racing tires. In order to reduce unnecessary weight, the air conditioning system and infotainment screen were discarded and substituted with racing-specific alternatives. The AMR Pro has also been equipped with a new fin at the back and an updated rear diffuser for improved performance. A notable feature is the F1-inspired steering wheel which includes a dial that enables you to adjust the power output. You can begin with 500 horsepower and gradually progress up to a whopping 1,155 hp.
The number of Valkyrie units produced is restricted to 150, and each unit costs $3 million. The AMR Pro, on the other hand, is even more exclusive, with only 25 units available for purchase at a price of $3.5 million each.
